PANGŮ Tea is one of the few places in Australia where you can get pu’er tea resins. A clean and convenient alternative to tea bags and loose-leaf tea.
Our tea resins preserve the taste, aroma and benefits of pu’er tea while being convenient to brew.
We currently offer four types of tea resins: ripe pu’er, raw pu’er, jasmine pu’er and sticky rice aroma pu’er.

Cha gao (茶膏), literal translation being ‘tea paste’, was first made in the Tang dynasty in Ancient China as a way of transporting large amounts of tea in a shelf stable and space saving manner.
1000 grams of tea leaves could be transformed into 200 grams of cha gao by boiling and simmering down the leaves before filtering and drying the tea into tiny, solid pellets, much like hardboiled candy.
Each gram of cha gao can brew several cups of tea.
Although transport and consumption of cha gao was convenient, the traditional manufacturing process was costly, heavily involved and time consuming, which led to its eventual disappearance.
Today, thanks to modern technology, we can achieve a similar result to traditional cha gao with our tea resins.
Using a mix of cold brewing and freeze drying techniques, our tea resins dissolve easily in hot or cold water, and retain the taste, aroma and natural antioxidants of whole leaf tea.
-
Our tea resins are 100% natural, containing only pu’er tea, herbs and/or flowers depending on the blend.
No preservatives or additives - our tea resins are completely dry and shelf stable.
All our products are packaged in Australia from imported ingredients.

Short answer: yes. Tea resin is pure tea, so a natural level of caffeine is part of the experience.
-
Unwrap the tea resin from the foil.
Drop it into a cup, tea pot or any other vessel.
Add hot water (90°C - 100C°), wait a bit, stir if you want and voila. Done. Easy peasy.
-
Tea resin is a concentrated form of real tea that dissolves instantly. You get the depth of loose-leaf flavour and quality in a convenient, travel-ready form.
The low temperature and slow extraction method of whole tea leaves also captures a deeper flavour and aroma than many tea bags.
It’s for anyone who wants a clean, quality brew without the strainers, extra gear or mess. (And no microplastics!)
